A fine day so far!
Apr. 27th, 2003 03:52 pmIt's been a pretty grand Sunday. Doug and I went to Beef O'Brady's for lunch -- the one here is much, much better in terms of food and service than the one by the Ice Palace in Tampa. After lunch, we decided to check out Bond Park, a local city park that's right down the street from the restaurant. It's a very pretty park, and it was (and still is) a beautiful, sunny, warm-but-not-hot day. I fed some obviously overfed ducks, then we took a paddle-boat out on the lake for half an hour. We saw a couple of little duck families (one mother duck had at least a dozen ducklings! I've never seen so many belonging to one bird!) and what I think was a great blue heron. All in all a really nice visit, and I think we managed to escape without sunburns. We may go back when Doug gets off the phone with TJ, or we may go out and explore someplace else. Or, maybe I'll get off my duff and do that watercolor I keep wanting to do but avoiding.
By the way,
dcsmrgun, Xjournal does have a lot of keyboard shortcuts for things like linking and so on, if that's what you were referring to in your comment. I really like it, though it's the only LJ software I've used so far.
