Order of the Phoenix
Well, Doug and I each got a copy of Order of the Phoenix last night at the local B&N. We got to the store at about 10:30, and left at about 1:30 -- it was a long night, but for the most part a fun and interesting one. In the grand tradition of many summers past, I stayed up all night reading the thing. I've been reading since we got home from the bookstore, pretty much non-stop except for an hour's break for lunch, and I just finished.
It's not spoiling anything at all (trust me!) to say that I am both saddened by and satisfied with the book. I may be sadder than some who read it, and not so sad as others. But I'm definitely glad I've read it, it's quite wonderful. Had many, many moments where I laughed out loud -- of course, that may be partly because I'm a tad sleep-deprived. I may read book 4 again soon, then give this one a second go (in a few months).
Now I think I need a nap.
