Curse my inability to write email, much less LJ entries! Arrrgh. I really should try to make it a rule to post at least a line or two every day, just so I don't feel like I have to write a novel to catch up every time I finally do get around to writing an entry.
I'll try to keep this short and sweet. I'm extremely pleased to report that all of my near-and-dear made it intact through Hurricane Charley. (I'm ashamed to say that it irritates me that the name is spelled like the title of the film adaptation of Flowers for Algernon, rather than just plain old "Charlie." Everyone else on the planet seems to agree with me, and has been spelling it "Charlie" almost without exception.)
Doug and I will be down in Orlando this coming weekend; the original plan was to dog- and house-sit for my sister Haley and her fiance while they were out of town, and take the opportunity to get some more wedding planning business taken care of. As the situation stands now, we (and the dog) may be staying with my parents instead, and I've yet to find out whether any of the wedding planning business will still go ahead as intended. Further updates to come as I found out more, but I do know we may be available Sunday for some sort of dinner kinda thing.
OOOH! I just saw the HUGEST FREAKING MOTH right outside the window. I swear the thing was four or five inches across. I guess the light in here isn't alluring enough, though, because it's now been a few minutes and he hasn't come back.
Well, I'd better cut it off there or risk spending another couple of hours Not Posting. I'll try to have something better tomorrow.
