Long time, no post

pandonkeyI think it's time for me to post something just to prove I'm still here. The blackout and made me notice how long it'd been.
Well, since my last post, I've gotten married; gone to Kaua'i; hosted Thanksgiving and Christmas at our house; been visited by my sister and her fiance and by my brother- and sister-in-law; and started two new jobs, only one of which "took." With so much fodder for posts, I've had absolutely no time to actual write one. Ain't it always the way.
For those who don't know, my previous job was a contract with Cisco through an agency that handles writers and editors. The contract dropped some positions (I found out the week before the wedding!), so in November my gig there was up. I started another job through the agency with a pharmaceutical company, but because of some reshuffling and poor timing, there was no actual work to do. Finally, the week before last I started a new job through the agency, again editing pharmaceutical/medical materials. This one I'm hoping will last -- they've asked if I'd like to continue past the temp term, and I said I would, so we'll see. I like the place; it reminds me a lot of my first job.
