Movies and such

pandonkeyWell, I started typing this up Friday night after seeing X2, but got distracted and forgot about it 'til today. D'oh. I really enjoyed the movie— I think I liked it even better than the first film, which was really my introduction to the whole X-Men thing. Aside from the film, I've only really seen a few episodes of the recent (rather poorly-written, but cute) cartoon series. I'd like to try reading some of the comic books, but I tend to be turned off by the current style of action comics... can't really tell what's happening, since there's so much going on on the page.
I really liked Nightcrawler, though my favorite remains Wolverine. (Unoriginal, I know, but c'mon — he kicks ass.) It's so rare to see a character with a genuine, specific religious faith.
League of Extraordinary Gentlemen looks like it could be very interesting —I've heard great things about the comics, and what could be cooler than Sean Connery as Allen Quatermain? I read a "collected works" of Haggard back when I was in high school. I'll have to see if I can find a copy again so I can get reacquainted.
Well, enough for now... I'm still pissed at the Alias writers, so I'll refrain from commenting on that.
