I like the fact that I'm both brilliant and extremely clever! I'm not sure if I'm as bright as all that, but I certainly do enjoy being a large blue man-beast!

I've had a rather slow and quiet day today. I may be getting more editing work from my company at some point in the future, but I haven't heard anything definite yet, and my current project is coming to a close. I suppose that means it's time to really, really start looking for a job. Job-hunting is easily my least-favorite thing ever, so I'm not looking forward to it. I'm not very good at "putting myself out there" and selling people on what I can do. I hate writing resumes, and the thought of interviews is quite chilling. Of course, no one loves job-hunting, but I suspect it's a bit easier for people who are more outgoing than I am.

Enough whining, though. I'm having a lot of fun tonight reading through marysues and ficbitches. I haven't really read any fanfiction in a long time, but this stuff is a hoot no matter what. Especially if you're a Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, or anime fan.

Yeah, jobbing is definitely TEH SUQ. I definitely hope you find something you enjoy, or at least are paid well for :)

There are days I wish I could survive on a forest ranger's salary just so I could drive a jeep around some woodlands all day.

Y'know, forest ranger might well be my dream job. Of course, having watched the X-Files for many years, as well as a number of bad horror films, I know that the forest ranger is always the first to die when the Ancient Evil awakens to take revenge for pollution and so forth. Terribly unfair.

Thanks for the well-wishes. :) I'm hoping to find something with reasonable hours and reasonable pay -- though I think I'd probably take lousy pay if the job was genuinely interesting. That'll be hard to find, though.
