New DVDs!

We just bought Spirited Away, Castle in the Sky, and Kiki's Delivery Service, thus giving our Studio Ghibli collection a huge boost (we already own Princess Mononoke). Next in my sights are My Neighbor Totoro and (if I can find it) the Lupin the 3rd movie Miyazaki did, the name of which escapes me now.

Also picked up the soundtrack to Chicago. The film was much, much better than the current Broadway run, at least when I saw it. It's a great soundtrack. Now I'm trying to figure out how to scan to my laptop... Paul, any suggestions? :) I'm not sure the ol' Canon's drivers will work, and I tried to download new ones from the Canon site, but it turned out to be a plugin for Photoshop 7. D'oh.

What type of scanner is it? :)

It's a Canon Canoscan N1220U. I was told the drivers should still work, but in Classic mode (which I've been avoiding), so I'm going to try that, though I'd prefer for it to work without opening classic. Still, if it works at all, it's find with me.
